The Hazardous Waste
Management office operates a program that can provide to certain businesses
(based upon waste generation amounts) located within the
boundary of Sarasota County a method of disposal for their
hazardous and
regulated wastes.
Business waste includes non- or
not-for-profit organizations, community service, or other
entrepreneurial ventures.
The program is
called Project Green Sweep and is available on Wednesdays from 8
a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bee Ridge Chemical Collection facility at
8750 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota.
Participants must
complete an application prior to initial drop-off of
wastes. Disposal fees must be paid at the time of
disposal by either check or cash (credit
cards cannot be accepted).
