Coastal Grants
Coordination and Administration
Coastal Grants Coordination and
Administration is of critical importance to the sustainability
of the Coastal Resources Division's efforts and activities.
Administration includes finding, obtaining,
administering, and tracking grants and other outside funding
sources for support of various programs and projects, important
to the enhancement and protection of the county's coastal
resources.
Staff coordinates and performs a liaison
function with the West Coast Inland Navigation District (WCIND),
entailing the tracking and administering of the grant
funding that comes to the county through that regional
entity.
- In 2002, Coastal Resources secured
approximately $1.5 million in grants.
